When purchasing items through the 5th AVENUE ART DECO site you agree to the terms of the shipping policy detailed below.

 

SALE ITEMS:

There will be a 10% restocking fee on returned sale items. If there are any issues with a sale item, please email us at welcome@5thAAD.com. Our Customer Service team will respond your email with 2 business days.

WHEN WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED AND WHAT ARE MY SHIPPING CHARGES ? 

Orders usually ship within 2 to 5 business days after confirmation of payment and address. Some products, including large furniture or other exceptional items, may have lead times of 2-3 weeks to accomodate importing and packaging requirements. In rare instances extenuating or unforeseen circumstances could create a delay in fulfillment. In such instances, our Customer Service department will keep you updated on the status of your order.

The vast majority of our products include FREE SHIPPING to the continental United States (excepting PUERTO RICO, GUAM, AK, HI, and other US territories). [NOTE: don't see exceptions to free shipping based on product; why "vast majority?]

Customers shipping to HAWAII or ALASKA, or to international destinations, should request a shipping quote by calling Customer Service or sending an email to welcome@5thAAD.com.

 

ESTIMATED DELIVERY TIMES:

In-stock 5th AVENUE ART DECO products typically ship within 3-5 business days and arrive within 5 - 10 days, depending on destination. No deliveries are made on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays.

 

CANCELLATIONS

If an order is cancelled prior to shipment, delivery or pick-up, payment will be refunded in full, minus any and all costs already incurred by 5th AVENUE ART DECO at that time. Payment for cancellations will be made to the original purchaser and credit card purchases will be refunded to the original credit card used at the time of purchase.

Cancellations received after shipping, delivery or pick-up are treated as RETURNS – see Returns section below for details.

 

RETURNS, DAMAGES  

Customer satisfaction is our #1 goal. 5th AVENUE ART DECO has a deep commitment to the highest quality products and service. However, we understand that in rare instances an item may not match your decor, taste or expectations. In such cases 5th AVENUE ART DECO is pleased to provide our flexible, hassle-free and industry-leading return and exchange policy.


DAMAGES

Every package is fully insured by 5th AVENUE ART DECO and requires a validated signature upon delivery. In case of damage in shipping, 5th AVENUE ART DECO takes the responsibility for filing a claim with the shipping company.

TO PROTECT YOURSELF, PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSPECTION INSTRUCTIONS BELOW WHEN SHIPMENTS ARRIVE:

Please refer to the "Guidelines for Inspection" provided in your shipment confirmation email and inspect all shipments upon arrival for damage before signing the delivery receipt.

If there is visible damage to any portion of the shipment, you must note such damage on the Bill of Lading. In instances of extreme damage, you should refuse the shipment and note "refused due to damage" on the Bill of Lading. If the truck driver does not give you time to inspect the shipment, make a note on the Bill of Lading: "Driver did not allow for inspection."

5th AVENUE ART DECO stands behind our customers. If you receive defective or damaged merchandise, 5th AVENUE ART DECO will help you as mentioned above. However, if the shipment was not inspected and damages are not documented on the Bill of Lading, the customer will be responsible for the cost of shipping the replacement merchandise.

If you refuse an item delivered by a commercial freight company for any reason other than externally visible damage or a shipping error by us, the item shall be treated as a customer return and charges described herein shall be applied. Any additional freight carrier charges will be billed to you. 

Concealed damages claims must be filed within 3 business days of receipt. Please unpack and check your items and report concealed damages within 3 days of delivery. if item is damaged in transit, please email us photos of damages.

 

RETURNS

Completed sales [CLARIFY "COMPLETED SALES"-SEE ABOVE ON CANCELLATIONS ]  may not be canceled, and are subject to the 5th AVENUE ART DECO return policy as below.  

Returns must be filed within 30 days after purchase date. All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) from our Customer Service Department. Please e-mail us at welcome@5thAAD.com to obtain an RMA. The reason for the return must be clearly stated in the e-mail. Once an RMA number is issued the returned product must be returned within 15 calendar days. We will send you the address where the products are to be shipped to. For freight (large item) orders, 5th AVENUE ART DECO will provide you the necessary paperwork, schedule a pickup through one of our freight carriers and place insurance on the shipment. Once the order has been returned to our warehouse and inspected for damage, we will deduct the return shipping costs and then issue you a refund. 

Shipments sent to 5th AVENUE ART DECO without an RMA number will be refused and the associated charges will be the sole responsibility of the sender. No returns will be accepted or any credit granted without an RMA.

All claims for non-damaged 5th AVENUE ART DECO brand returns must be made within 10 calendar days of receipt of merchandise [NOTE: doesn't this contradict the "returns must be filed within 30 days of purchase date" above? Shouldn't it read consistently if repeated at all?] , and only apply to merchandise in perfect (as-shipped) condition and in the original, undamaged packaging.

All returned items must be received by us in "new" or "like new" condition, in undamaged original manufacturer's packaging and crating materials when applicable and with all original product materials, manuals and instructions. 

If a package is opened and item installed, it will be subject 10% restocking fee. [Unclear- if package opened that's OK, if installed then put back in packaging is 10%? Also see below, any item partially or completely installed or assembled may not be returned.]

 

THE FOLLOWING MAY NOT BE RETURNED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES:

  • Items that have been partially or completely installed and/or assembled
  • Custom or special orders
  • Any products identified as “Floor Model” or “Off Price”
  • Any other item mentioned  “NON-RETURNABLE”, whether the item(s) have been picked up or not.

Clearance items and international shipments may not be eligible for return. Please contact our Sales department prior to purchase for questions regarding a specific item.

 

RESPONSIBILITY FOR CHARGES

5th AVENUE ART DECO  will arrange the pick up and pay the freight and insurance for items returned due to error, damages or any other reason that is not caused by the purchaser (for example, damaged merchandise or wrong item received). Other returns must be arranged for, insured by, and paid for by the sender for delivery by FedEx, UPS or USPS back to 5th AVENUE ART DECO in Charlotte, NC USA.

For freight (large item) orders, 5th AVENUE ART DECO  will provide you the necessary paperwork, schedule a pickup through one of our freight carriers and place insurance on the shipment. Once the order has been returned to our warehouse and inspected for damage, we will deduct the return shipping costs and then issue you a refund. 

After the product is received by 5th AVENUE ART DECO and inspected and verified to be in "like new" condition, a full refund will be provided based on the product purchase price minus any original shipping charges and any return shipping charges and minus a 10% restocking/re-handling charge. For products sold with "Free Shipping" the actual freight cost to originally ship the product to and from your ship-to address will be deducted from your refund.

Payment for returns and/or refunds will be made to the original purchaser and credit card purchases will be refunded to the original credit card used at the time of purchase. All other purchase types will be refunded by check. Purchases made by check will be refunded up to 14 business days after inspection of returned items received by 5th AVENUE ART DECO.

 Remember, 5th AVENUE ART DECO will refund shipping costs only if the return has resulted from our error:

1) defective product*
2) wrong order shipped

*Shipping damages do not count as "defect"; if item is damaged in transit, please email us photos of damages.
